About

AVTouchBar & Me
Hi there! My name is Jake Fishman and I am the creator of AVTouchBar. Ever since I originally saw the touch bar, I’ve wanted an audio visualizer on it. It’s an OLED screen, so I knew it would look beautiful – and it just seems like such a cool thing to have there. Four years had passed since the release of the touch bar, yet nobody had created this idea. In the quarantine of 2020 I decided to learn how to code (beyond the basics I already knew) and start the development of this app.
I’ve invested several months of time as well as my own money to get this app to where it is today. In the end, I’m incredibly happy that I am able to share this project with you all, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. And of course, a special thank you to all the beta testers, super supporters, people who shared and promoted the app, and everybody who encouraged me to continue development.
Professional Career
My real job is not actually as a developer. While I did take a few Python courses in college, I taught myself how to code over quarantine. My real job is as a professional baseball player. I was drafted in 2016 out of Union College by the Toronto Blue Jays. For 5 years, I played in the minor leagues for the Blue Jays for until I was selected by the Miami Marlins in the 2020 Rule 5 Draft.

Personal Life
I spend my offseasons in Boston, MA, where I train for baseball full time. While in the offseason, I also enjoy playing video games, exploring new technologies, and uploading to my YouTube channel.
